The Wildcats and Alinta Energy enjoyed a successful first season together last year as the club returned to play-offs.
With this summer’s additional support of the Perth Lynx, who made it all the way to a championship decider, Alinta Energy hopes both teams can go one step further this season.
As the Official Energy Partner for both teams, Alinta Energy’s brand will be proudly displayed at RAC Arena.
In WA and across the country, Alinta Energy will have the back of the Perth Lynx players, with the Alinta Energy logo proudly worn on the back of the home and away playing uniforms.
In addition to its visible presence across both teams, Alinta Energy will also be a critical partner across the Lynx community clinics and expansion supporting the next generation of basketballers in Western Australia.
“We’re delighted to welcome Alinta Energy back to help us bring the energy after a successful first year together last season,” Wildcats owner Mark Arena said.
“We’ve loved having Alinta Energy as part of the Wildcats family and look forward to continuing to grow together.
“Their dedication to proud representation of WA-based business aligns perfectly with our values and we’re excited to see what we can achieve together in the coming seasons.”
New owner of the Perth Lynx, Christian Hauff, was equally thrilled to have Alinta Energy join the fold.
"We are delighted to welcome Alinta Energy on board, who will have the back of our girls no matter where we play in the country,” Hauff said.
"Alinta Energy has made a wonderful commitment to basketball in WA – and we look forward to becoming a successful part of that partnership which includes our support of them and their business growth aspirations."
Alinta Energy’s Executive Director of Retail Markets Chris Campbell was excited to be extending the Wildcats partnership as well as including the Lynx in its plans this summer.
"We're really excited to be back for another season with the Perth Wildcats and their amazing fans,” Chris said.
“Last year, we saw first-hand the passion and energy that the Wildcats community brings, so adding the Lynx to our partnership made perfect sense.
“We’ve been supplying energy to West Aussies for over 25 years, and we’re proud of our WA-based roots.
"Basketball is a sport on the rise in Australia that will continue to engage and inspire us and we’re proud to be backing the sport in WA from the community to elite level this summer."
