Perth Wildcats fans will be treated to bonus basketball to begin the 2020/21 NBL Season.
The NBL today released an amended schedule for the first two rounds of the season.
The date for the Wildcats season opener has not changed, but they will now play Melbourne United in a Friday night RAC Arena blockbuster on 15 January.
Two days later, they will face modern rivals the NZ Breakers.
In a coup for Perth sporting fans, the reigning champions will again play the NZ Breakers at RAC Arena one week later – but the game will be a Breakers home game.
This means the game will not count as one of Perth’s 14 home games for the season, and it provides an additional opportunity for the Red Army to see their team in action while venue capacity is capped at 50 per cent.
Ticketing information for this game will be released closer to the date. Click here to be on the list to be the first to find out!
The NBL will continue to release the rolling 2020/21 schedule in phases as it navigates the challenges of a COVID-19 impacted season.
Perth Wildcats members have been contacted regarding access to the opening two home games of the season.
