Doolittle backs Wildcats to respond at home

Kristian Doolittle says the Perth Wildcats have responded to their season-opening defeat with honesty and accountability as they prepare for two home games in three days at RAC Arena.

Following a direct review of Saturday night’s loss to South East Melbourne, Doolittle said the Wildcats had addressed the areas requiring improvement and produced a strong response on the training floor.

“We highlighted things within our principles and rules as a team that just can’t happen,” Doolittle said.

“We’ve had a good practice preparing for Adelaide and it’s now on us as players to take what we do in practice into the game.”

The Wildcats face the Adelaide 36ers on Thursday night before returning to RAC Arena to host the New Zealand Breakers on Saturday.

“I fully believe the team we have right now is capable of winning every game we suit up to play. It’s just a matter of our execution and determination to get the job done.”
