The athletic 201cm forward, who will arrive in Perth ahead of Friday night's season opener against Tasmania at RAC Arena, described himself as a versatile player capable of guarding mulitple positions.
Doolittle is the Wildcats' third and final import for the upcoming season, joining fellow Americans Bryce Cotton and Jordan Usher.
"I feel like I'm a really versatile player, offensively and defensively, and I'm someone that can mesh well in a system," Doolittle said.
"I'm not someone who demands that ball a lot, with a limited amount of shots I can still produce.
"I can impact the game in a lot of different ways and can guard multiple positions."
Doolittle felt his pairing with the Wildcats was "a match made in heaven".
"We talked about how the team plays and how I would fit well with them so it’s almost like a match made in heaven between the both of us. It was a no-brainer," he said.
Doolittle revealed he already knew a bit about the Wildcats because of childhood friend and fellow University of Oklahoma graduate Brady Manek, one of the team's imports last season.
"I had known briefly about it because Brady played there last year and I grew up with Brady," Doolittle said.
"I played three years with him at college and have known him since I was about six or seven years old.
"I'd heard from his family about it so I had a little bit of understanding."
