The three-time NBL MVP's game against New Zealand in the recently-concluded NBL Blitz on the Gold Coast finished early after he hurt his left knee in a collision with opponent Dane Pineau in the come-from-behind win.

But Rillie gave a positive update on Cotton's availability, revealing he's been going at "full tilt" at practice ahead of the Wildcats' NBL24 season opener.

"Bryce has been at full tilt at practice this week so we're looking very good for Friday night," Rillie said.

Rillie was also upbeat about stalwart Jesse Wagstaff's chances of facing the JackJumpers after a head knock saw him miss last Thursday's victory over the Breakers.

"Jesse has been performing well at practice, it's full go for Jesse as well so we should have a full roster for Friday night's game," he said.

New import Kristian Doolittle, who touched down in Perth on Wednesday morning, is also expected to make his Wildcats debut after a whirlwind week.

Doolittle hit the court with his new teammates for the first time during practice at RAC Arena on Thursday morning.

"He'll suit up and participate in both games over the weekend," Rillie said.

Like Perth, the JackJumpers finished with an unbeaten 3-0 record in the NBL Blitz tournament and will come into the new season with plenty of confidence.

Centre Will Magnay will miss at least the first three rounds of the season due to a foot injury sustained during the off-season.
