Context
The Perth Wildcats will look to continue their winning streak when they face Cairns Taipans on Tuesday night at Cairns Convention Centre. The Wildcats have not played since last Monday’s win over Melbourne United, as Friday’s game against New Zealand was postponed due to COVID in the Breakers camp. The Wildcats will want to try and hold on to the momentum of the incredible win over Melbourne and carry it into this game against the third-placed Taipans. Cairns come into this game on the back of big win over the Jack Jumpers on Saturday.
Pre-game words
John Rillie on the match-up with Cairns Taipans.
“Cairns are a dangerous team,” he said.
“They’ve been playing very well consistently throughout the year, their style of play, they like to play fast, position-less basketball, getting up a lot of threes.
“Then they have Keanu Pinder in the middle who’s playing at an MVP type level so their perimeter firepower is high octane, but Pinder is also a load down low as well."

Opponents to watch out for

The Perth Wildcats last met Cairns Taipans was back in October, Perth coming away with a big 105-76 win in Cairns. Bryce Cotton managed a game-high 24 points, while Keanu Pinder was Cairns’ best, finishing with 18 points.
