Context
The Perth Wildcats come into this round on the back of the FIBA break and will be raring to go. The team will be looking to re-capture the momentum from their last game, a win over Adelaide 36ers, and keep it rolling at RAC Arena. Currently sitting in seventh on the NBL ladder, the Wildcats take on the fourth-placed SEM Phoenix. In an extremely tight competition, both teams will be desperate for the win and it’s likely to be an exciting match-up.
Pre-game words
John Rillie on the match-up with SEM Phoenix.
“It really comes down to us making shots,” he said.
“When the opposition has to take the ball out of the net, it allows us to get in a great defensive versus scrambling in transition.
“If we can all make some shots tomorrow night, our rebounding will be in a better position.”
Roster Availability
Kyle Zunic will miss the next 2-3 weeks after suffering a hamstring strain at practice.
Michael Harris comes into the 11 to face Phoenix.
Opponents to watch out for
Alan Williams is straight up balling. He comes into this game on the back of a 30 point, 14 rebound game against Melbourne United on Sunday and does not look like easing up any time soon.
Last time they met
The Perth Wildcats faced Phoenix last month, falling by just one point in the dying seconds at RAC Arena. Bryce Cotton finished with a game-high 27 points and 8 rebounds, while Luke Travers also impressed with 19 points coming off the bench. Mitch Creek was SEM’s best, finishing with 22 points and 6 rebounds.
