Context
The Perth Wildcats will be looking to bounce back from Thursday night’s loss to the Bullets in a big way. They take on the top-of-the-table New Zealand Breakers in a match-up not to be missed! Currently sitting seventh on the ladder, the Wildcats are due a statement win, and with Corey Webster facing his old side at Spark Arena, it will be an exciting one to watch. New Zealand will be coming into this game riding the momentum wave of their 110-84 win over SEM Phoenix two nights ago and it will be up to the Wildcats to increase their consistency and physicality on the floor.
Pre-game words
John Rillie on the match-up with NZ Breakers.
“If you’re going over to New Zealand to play the Breakers, you better have a lot of energy because they’re playing at a very high level right now, that’s a well-oiled machine right now,” he said.
“They play at a high level, I would say that they’re playing the best in the NBL.
“You can tell that they’re a connected team, and they’re playing very well at both ends of the floor, so we better bring our mojo when we show up to New Zealand.”
