Ex-Wildcat Sarr wins NBA Rookie of the Month award

The Wildcats Next Star turned Washington Wizard was named the Eastern Conference's Rookie of the Month for December.
The French young gun enjoyed an impressive month for the Wizards, averaging the most points (13.8) and blocks per game (1.7) for any rookie in the competition to go with 6.3 rebounds per game.

Sarr was drafted from the Wildcats with pick No.2 in the 2024 NBA Draft after an eye-catching season in the NBL.
He amassed 10-plus points in all nine of his appearances across December, including 19 and nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks in Washington’s win over Charlotte on December 19.
Sarr has played 28 games this season, averaging 11.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game.
