Familiar faces through to NBL1 West Grand Final

Perth Wildcats greats Greg Hire and Tom Jervis may have to make room in their already stacked trophy cabinets.

Hire has four NBL championships and one SBL title, to his name, while Jervis has three NBL championships and, like Hire, one in the SBL.

The pair have linked up with the Rockingham Flames in the NBL1 West and, at the weekend, helped their team win its way through to the 2021 Grand Final.

In their preliminary final win over Lakeside, Jervis amassed 21 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks, while Hire contributed eight points and five boards.

Meeting the Flames in Saturday’s Grand Final is the Perry Lakes Hawks, which features 2021 Wildcats development player Andrew Ferguson.

In the Hawks win over the Perth Redbacks, Ferguson was dominant with 25 points and nine rebounds.

The Grand Final takes place on Saturday at the Bendat Basketball Centre, with tip-off at 7pm.
