The Wildcats championship player featured for nearly four minutes in the unbeaten Cavs’ win over Orlando and made the most of his time on court.
The 23-year-old from Rockingham finished with four points, two rebounds, two assists and a block.
Travers received the game ball from superstar Donovan Mitchell after scoring his first NBA points, fittingly with a dunk.
“He played his tail off,” Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson said post-game.
In his first NBA regular season action, Luke Travers had 4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block in less than 4 minutes of action. His full skill set was on display. pic.twitter.com/CmjG86la4N

Travers spent four seasons at the Wildcats and was originally drafted by the Cavs with pick 56 in the 2022 NBA Draft.
Signing as a Wildcats development player in 2019, the talented shooting guard was elevated to the main roster for the 2021-22 NBL season.
He was also part of the club’s championship in 2020.

After a strong Summer League campaign for the Cavs, Travers signed a two-way deal with the franchise in August.
It comes just days after fellow ex-Wildcat Alex Sarr debuted for Washington Wizards.
