Summary

The Perth Wildcats losing streak has extended to five games following tonight’s loss to the Tasmania JackJumpers. The home side started hot, with early triples from skipper Jesse Wagstaff and Bryce Cotton. It was a back-and-forth battle until the third quarter, but a Wildcats fourth quarter fade-out secured the game in the JackJumpers favour. Bryce Cotton finished with a game-high 23 points, while Jack McVeigh top-scored for Tasmania.

Reaction

John Rillie shares his thoughts on the game.

“The team is disappointed in the way that we play,” he said.

“This is where you really find out what a team is made out of, if you truly believe you’re good, you’ll be good at some stage.

“if you get side-tracked, then it starts to fragment, but right now, anyone that was at practice yesterday, we had a great practice, you’re putting drops in a bucket and that’s going to pay dividends at some stage.”

Player focus

Bryce Cotton managed a game-high 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.
