After seven consecutive games on the road, the Red Army will be treated to an Open Air showdown at RAC Arena on Friday night.

In Perth Wildcats’ first home game in more than a month, the team takes on a star-studded Adelaide 36ers as the finals race heats up during the business end of the season.

In what’s the third annual Open Air game the Wildcats have hosted, the RAC Arena roof will be opened up ahead of the 6.30pm tip-off and the Perth evening skies will be on show.

This year’s Open Air game is proudly supporting MSWA, a non-profit organisation providing vital support and services to West Aussies living with neurological conditions.

“The Open Air game has become one of the most exciting events on the Wildcats’ calendar and further showcases our truly world-class facility at RAC Arena,” Arena said.

“We’re delighted to partner with MSWA for the event and are looking forward to supporting them.

“We’d love to see a packed-out RAC Arena welcome the guys back after seven road games in a row and six weeks since we last played on our home court.

“After the disappointment of not being able to open the roof last season due to the threat of thunder storms, we’re hoping for a bit more luck on the weather front this time around.

“There’s still a slight chance the roof may be closed with rain forecast as player safety is paramount but we will keep our fans informed with any potential changes.”

MSWA CEO Melanie Kiely shared her excitement about the Wildcats' upcoming game.

"At MSWA, our purpose is to support the West Australians in our community with a neurological condition to live their best lives. Like everyone, they want to be empowered to focus on living their life and not the limits imposed by their condition," she said.

"We’re grateful to have the Wildcats take to the court for this special game under the stars, in support of the MSWA community.

"By sharing our clients’ inspiring stories, we hope to shine a light on the impact that neurological conditions have and how the right support can enable them to live a full and rich life. Wildcats fans who want to contribute to this cause and make an impact, can donate or take part in one of our popular lotteries or raffles.

"It is the support of West Australians that makes it possible for MSWA and the research community to improve lives."

About MSWA - Life Not Limits

MSWA provides vital support and services to West Aussies living with neurological conditions.

The non-profit organisation strives to empower people living with neuro conditions to live their best lives.

MSWA supports a range of neurological conditions, including but not limited to multiple sclerosis (MS), stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, motor neurone disease (MND), acquired brain injury and other conditions afflicting the brain and central nervous system.

Over the past decade, through MSWA lotteries, events and donations, MSWA has contributed over $43 million to fund essential research into finding the cause, better treatments and, hopefully, a cure for MS and other neurological conditions.
