After a rare quiet game on Wednesday, Cotton looked a man on a mission, eclipsing his last-game tally of 12 by early in the second quarter on the way to 19 first-half points and a game-high 40 overall.
With plenty of family and friends in the stands, the three-time NBL MVP was red-hot from the get-go as the Wildcats bounced back from the disappointment of their 124-105 loss a couple days earlier.
Highly-rated French teen Alex Sarr continued to set tongues wagging, recording a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds to go with six blocks.
Sarr came off the bench and it wasn't long before he was dunking and blocking like the opening game.
Import Jordan Usher also backed up his 22-point game on Wednesday with 24, while young gun Ben Henshall (16) reached double figures for the second time in a row.
Recruit Keanu Pinder, who made the starting five on debut, had a couple of early rebounds and hit his first points as a Wildcat late in the first term with a couple of successful free throws to help give his new team a 38-30 lead at the break.
Perth's advantage was out to 19 by the main break with Cotton hitting three of four shots from outside the arc on his way to eight overall.
The Ignite hit back hard in the third quarter to get within seven points before the Wildcats steadied to lead 93-82 at three-quarter time.
Hot draft prospect Ron Holland starred for the home side again, finishing with 33 points.
Perth take on the Overtime Elite on Sunday before leaving the US for the NBL Blitz tournament on the Gold Coast that night.
