Hundred historic clashes for Wildcats and Bullets

A week ago, the Perth Wildcats and the Brisbane Bullets clashed for the 99th time, playing out one of the great games of their storied 40-year history.
It featured over 30 lead changes, and a margin that never extended past nine points despite going for an extra two overtime periods – particularly wild considering the nine-point run the Bullets went on to start the game.
Unfortunately, the final result did not go the Wildcats way, falling by one-point, but they’ll get a chance for redemption when they sides play off in their historic 100th meeting om Friday.
“I said after the game there was infinity number of things, we could have done differently to get one more point, but rebounding was kind of the obvious one on the score sheet and to the naked eye. It was clear to see we got beat on the glass.”
Scott Morrison said he expects his team to be boosted by the debut of import guard Michael Frazier II.
“I’m not sure who we’ll start at this point, I like to mix it up during the week in practice, to give guys a chance to play with different people, so I don’t know who we’ll start but we are expecting Mike to be in the line-up and that will be a big change for sure,” said Morrison.
“He was able to practice pretty well full-on Tuesday, and the last two days he’s been the same as everyone else.”
Frazier has impressed teammates at training with his defence and scoring ability.
With his injection to the side, fans can expect the Wildcats to put up plenty of long range shots again this week.
In their 40-year history, they’ve attempted 40 or more three-pointers just four times, with two of those coming from the three games played so far this season.
The Wildcats and Bullets played their first ever clash at Brisbane's tiny Auchenflower Stadium in front of 350 people in 1982.
Over 12 thousand are expected at RAC Arena on Friday.
Tip-off is at 6.30pm/
