Perth Wildcats forward Hyrum Harris finished his stint with New Zealand's national team on a high in Christchurch on Monday.

Harris was an important contributor as the Tall Blacks defeated Chinese Taipei 81-64 in a FIBA Asia Cup qualifying match.

The 28-year-old fell just shy of a double-double, finishing with an equal team-high 13 rebounds to go with nine points.

It comes after the Tall Blacks, who also have Wildcats assistant coach Aaron Young involved in the coaching group, narrowly went down to the Philippines 93-89 last week.

Harris will return home to Perth ahead of the Wildcats' RAC Arena double-header against Brisbane (on Friday night) and New Zealand (on Sunday afternoon).

Fellow Wildcat Ben Henshall also had a successful FIBA Asia Cup qualifying campaign, impressing for the Boomers with two strong matches.

Next Star Izan Almansa will complete his first stint with the Spanish senior team against Slovakia in Ourense on Tuesday after an eye-catching debut.
