The former Adelaide 36ers forward had his first practice session as a Wildcat at Dollar Loan Center on Tuesday ahead of his likely club debut at same venue against the NBA G-League Ignite the following day.
Harris admits he's feeling tired after a 16-hour journey to get from Manila after a successful FIBA World Cup campaign with New Zealand.
"I'm tired," Harris told reporters after practice.
"I was on a plane for about 16 hours all up, and then you have to adjust your sleeping pattern as well, but this is my job so I can't really make excuses for it."
The 27-year-old opened up on the experience of featuring in a World Cup for the Tall Blacks, including nine minutes of court time against the powerful Team USA.
His best game was against Mexico in the classification round where he amassed eight rebounds and four assists in a 108-100 loss.
"It was a good experience, playing the best players in the world and representing your country, it's obviously a goal everyone wants to achieve," Harris said.
"I'm just trying to take those things that I learned throughout our campaign and bring it here."
Perth, which hasn't toured the US since taking on Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets five years ago, becomes the first Australian side to take on the NBA G-League Ignite.
The two-games series finishes on Friday night.
