After five years in the league, Harris will finally get his first taste of post-season action in game one of the play-off series against Tasmania JackJumpers at RAC Arena.
The Wildcats have 13 championships between them, led by captain Jesse Wagstaff who has a record-equal six.
Four-time NBL MVP Bryce Cotton and veteran sharpshooter Corey Webster have three apiece, while Tai Webster won a title in his early days as a New Zealand Breaker.
“Our leaders do a really good job of sharing their voice and sharing their opinion,” Harris said.

Hyrum Harris spoke to the media today about the advice experienced finals campaigners Jesse Wagstaff, Corey Webster and Bryce Cotton are sharing with the group ahead of the playoffs.

“They always lean back on their experiences on how they’ve won championships and how they’ve gone through the rollercoaster in their previous seasons.
“Guys like Corey (Webster), Wags (Jesse Wagstaff) and BC (Bryce Cotton), those older guys have got a lot of experience under their belt.
“They share what they’ve been through in film and on-court, just by voicing their opinion.
“It’s been really good to see those guys share their success.”
After stints with Adelaide, Cairns and Illawarra, Harris has found his feet in the Wildcats’ starting five to help his new team turn their season around from a 2-5 start.
His efforts didn’t go unnoticed at last month’s Wildcats MVP Ball, with the New Zealander winning the team’s Most Improved Player award.
Friday’s clash, which starts at 6.30pm, is live and free on ESPN via Kayo Freebies, 10 Peach and 10 Play.
