More than 200 students from around Perth took part in the carnival, made possible by the support of co-naming rights partners Tyrepower and Activ Foundation, at Bendat Basketball Centre on Thursday.
The event finished off with a few All Stars games featuring Perth Wildcats stars Jesse Wagstaff, Tai Webster, Michael Harris, Alex Sarr, Keanu Pinder and David Okwera against selected teams of carnival standouts.
The Wildcats also presented medals to some of the best players in a heart-warming moment which Tyrepower's WA general manager Dale Klompmaker described as the highlight of the day.
"We do the half-time heroes with the Wildcats in the normal season but it's good to be able to give these kids the opportunity to come out and have a carnival so it's great to see the smiles on all of their faces," he said.
"The best part of the day was seeing them get their medals, it was unreal."
Activ CEO Michael Heath was rapt to be a major supporter of the day and had high hopes for the future of the carnival.
"We're all about inclusion and these kids should have an opportunity to be involved," Heath said.
"It's such a huge step forward for them to be involved with the Wildcats, there's definitely a future for it and it's been a fantastic success."
