Kevin White learning different ways to impact games

Perth Wildcats guard Kevin White said the longer he’s played in the League, the more he understands about the ways he can impact a game.
In the 2021 Finals, that was with playmaking and scoring at a career-high level.
At the start of this season, his role has also increased due to the absence of point guard Mitch Norton and import guard Michael Frazier II.
However, when those players return, he’ll know how to influence the result – even if it’s with less minutes.
“I think it’s just about staying ready and being ready at any moment,” he said.
“You don’t know when that moment is going to come, and you learn that more as your career goes on.
“I’m 34, turning 35 next year so my impact on the court isn’t as great as it probably was five or six years ago, but at the same time being able to watch the game and help Norto where I can, help LT and those younger guys. Even BC. Just with what I’m seeing off the court and speaking to them while they’re on the court.
“I feel like these are big things in team sport, especially in basketball where things happen so quickly, those guys on the floor may miss a few things.
“It doesn’t really bother me whether I play or whether I don’t. If we’re winning games and guys are taking care of business I’ll be a happy man.”
Mitch Norton is still up to three weeks away with a knee injury, but Michael Frazier is likely to return for Friday night’s game against the Bullets.
