Perth Wildcats guard Mitch Norton hyperextended his right knee at practice on Monday and won’t play at the NBL Blitz pre-season tournament in Tasmania.
Scans have cleared Norton of any structural damage, and he’ll be re-assessed upon the team’s return prior to the season-opener on 3 December.
Two-time NBL1 Champion and WA product Mitch Clarke will be added to the Wildcats NBL Blitz squad to provide additional backcourt depth.
Norton will travel with the team to Tasmania tomorrow, where the Wildcats are scheduled to play five games from 16 to 26 November.
