Perth Wildcats head coach Scott Morrison has confirmed members of his playing group have tested positive COVID-19 test results.
The NBL announced this morning that Perth's Friday's clash with the Adelaide 36ers has been moved to Wednesday next week.
“We’ve got a couple of guys in protocols right now,” coach Scott Morrison said.
“The process is we have been testing every day on the rapid tests. We do that every day before training. If you test positive on that you get shut down immediately and then you go for a PCR test. We’re waiting on a few PCR tests, so we didn’t have a full group today.
“I’ve learnt over the last two to three seasons that where there’s smoke there’s fire. We’re taking things one day at a time.
“We kind of knew this was going to happen. Once they took us out of Perth it was going to happen eventually. I thought maybe we could hang on a little longer than one game. But it’s tough when you’re in this area of the country where things are firing off.”

The Widlcats are currently based in Hobart after leaving WA on 27 December for six weeks of away games.
So far they have played just the one game, on New Year's Eve against the Cairns Taipans.
