The talented young point guard’s NBL24 campaign finished early due to a wrist issue, with a foot injury limiting his availability in the middle part of the season.
The former New Zealand Basketball League Youth Player of the Year made three appearances for the Wildcats last year as a Development Player, averaging 2.7 points, 0.7 steals and 0.3 assists in around 2.5 minutes per game.
He scored four points on debut against South East Melbourne Phoenix at John Cain Arena on October 1 but the highlight of his season came against Brisbane at RAC Arena during Pride Round.
The 19-year-old scored a lay-up followed by a floater late in the comfortable victory before getting a Powerade shower alongside fellow DP Jack Andrew who also scored his first bucket at RAC Arena that night.
Russo-Nance, who is currently plying his trade for Otago Nuggets in the Sal’s NBL, is back at the Wildcats in NBL25 as a DP before getting upgraded to the main roster the following season.
