A final-quarter dunk at RAC Arena - followed by a Powerade shower - was the highlight of Development Player Jack Andrew’s second season at the Wildcats.

The towering 208cm young New Zealander only featured twice in NBL25, making back-to-back appearances in January during Alex Sarr’s time on the sidelines with a hip injury to take his career NBL tally to three.

He enjoyed a win in both games last season, against South East Melbourne and Brisbane respectively, scoring his first points at RAC Arena in the latter game on January 19.

It coincided with fellow NZ Development Player Dontae Russo-Nance’s maiden points at home, with the pair getting showered with Powerade in a heart-warming post-game moment.

Andrew is currently plying his trade with Wildcats teammates Ben Henshall, Tai Webster and Russo-Nance at Otago in the New Zealand Basketball League.

He’s become a regular starter and important contributor for the Nuggets, averaging nine points, nine rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game, and continues to improve his game as an imposing centre with a defensive presence.
