NBL24 season review - Kyle Zunic

The hard-working guard, in his third season at the Wildcats, was stuck behind the likes of Bryce Cotton, Tai Webster, Corey Webster and Michael Harris in the rotation.
His only start was against Illawarra in his home town of Wollongong back in Round 10, when Tai Webster was ruled out with illness, averaging 2.1 minutes per game.
But that didn’t stop the 25-year-old having an impact around the youthful Wildcats playing group.
Head coach John Rillie was full of praise for Zunic at the Wildcats MVP Ball, describing him as an easy choice for the Coaches’ Award.
“It was a pretty easy decision at the end of the day for myself and my coaching staff,” Rillie said at the Wildcats MVP Ball.
“This guy brings a work ethic every day.
“It doesn’t matter whether it’s in the middle of the season, pre-season or whether it’s weights or film, his dedication for the cause and for himself is elite.
“But even better, he has a a true care and passion for his teammates and their success, not just on the court but off the court as well.”
