The WA-raised big man played 23 games last season, averaging eight minutes per game for three points and two rebounds.
The 22-year-old started in 10 of those 23 appearances, with fellow centre Keanu Pinder coming off the bench for the bulk of those games.
He had some exciting moments at both ends of the floor, showcasing his rim-protecting ability, rebounding, dunking and effectiveness in knocking down a long-range shot.
His best offensive game came against Brisbane on November 29 when he amassed a career-high 12 points in a little over seven minutes.
The 208cm talent also had eight games of three rebounds or more including a season-high eight against Adelaide on January 17.
His second season at the Wildcats saw him play increased minutes, nearly double his average points per game and also up his rebounds per game, while his three-point percentage of 34.3 was the highest of his four-season NBL career.
Okwera has now played 76 NBL games including 40 as a Wildcats player after returning home to Perth ahead of the NBL24 season.
He’s recently re-signed for a third season at the Wildcats.
