Off-season wrap: Triple-doubles, clutch buckets and more.

The Warwick Senators moved to 6-0 after a pair of wins over the weekend, with former Wildcats development player Mitch Clark joining the side for his first games of the season.

In a turn of events, Wildcats guard Elijah Pepper took a break from scoring 50 points per game to record his first career triple-double. 

Pepper finished with 28 points, nine rebounds and seven assists against the East Perth Eagles on Friday night, before getting a triple-double on Saturday night against the Mandurah Magic with 35 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.

Alongside Pepper, Todd Withers played a big part in the wins with 14 points against East Perth, before an incredible 34 points including nine triples against Mandurah.

Kristian Doolittle and the Carolina Gigantes overcame Nathan Sobey’s Santeros de Aguada, charging home with an 8-0 run to secure a seven point win.

Doolittle was responsible for six of those, with 15 of his 26 points on the night coming in the fourth quarter. 

Doolittle added seven rebounds, five assists and three steals to his 26 points on the night, in what was his second-highest scoring output of the season.

The effort took him to 1000 total points in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional Puerto Rico (BSNPR), an incredible achievement to add to his two championships from five seasons in the league.

The Wildcats in the NZNBL continued on their winning ways, with David, Dontae and Hyrum all securing wins over the weekend. 

Hyrum Harris was a monster on the boards with 16 rebounds, to go along with 14 points for his sixth double-double of the season. Harris is sitting second in the league for total rebounds, averaging 11.3 per game.

Dontae Russo-Nance finished with 12 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 steals in his side's victory over the Nelson Giants. Russo-Nance leads the league in steals, averaging 2.9 per game.

David Okwera and the Franklin Bulls defeated the Otago Nuggets at home, with the recently re-signed Wildcats forward finishing with three points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks.

Across the globe in France, Tai Webster and JL Bourg Basket broke their losing streak defeating Le Portel by 29 points. 

Webster finished with eight points, seven assists, and four rebounds in 20 minutes.

The win moved the side up into fifth in the LNB Elite standings and secured their place in the upcoming playoffs.
