It will be the Wildcats’ first home game of the New Year after four consecutive matches on the road across a month-long period.

To keep the weekend of fun rolling for the Red Army, the Perth Wildcats Fan Day will be held the following afternoon (Sunday 14 January) at Fremantle’s Esplanade Park.

Richard Simkiss, Sports Entertainment Network CEO – Teams, is excited to bring the concept back, one day shy of a year since the Wildcats knocked off Adelaide in front of more than 13,000 fans in the first open-air game held at RAC Arena.

“We’re looking to build on the success of last season’s historic open-air game at RAC Arena which proved to be a big hit among our supporters,” Simkiss said.

“We think it’s a fitting way to welcome the Red Army back to RAC Arena for the first time in 2024.

“We’re also excited to welcome Happiness Co Foundation, which does excellent work in the mental-health space, on board as game-night partner.

“It’s going to be a massive weekend for Wildcats fans and members, capped off by our ever-popular fan day in Fremantle on Sunday.”

Julian Pace, Director and Founder of Happiness Co Foundation, a charity devoted to instilling happiness into as many lives as possible, felt it was a fitting game to be a part of.

“We’re aiming to lift the roof on mental health, bringing it more into the open and the every day” Pace said.

“We’re in the pre-emptive, everyday mental-health space, encouraging people to work on their mental health when they want to and not when they have to. Ensuring that people in the community know enough to take action when things in life begin to feel uncomfortable.

“We feel like sport, and the connection it brings, is such a great release from people’s day-to-day struggles, so it’s exciting to be involved in the Open Air clash as game-night partner as the Wildcats look to continue their charge towards the play-offs."

It’s set to be a big month of home games in Perth, including the Champion Pride Round clash against Brisbane on Friday 19 January and Member Recognition Game against Illawarra on Thursday 25 January.
