Perth Wildcats All Abilities Carnival 2026, presented by Rio Tinto

Held at Bendat Basketball Centre, this year’s Perth Wildcats All Abilities Carnival, presented by Rio Tinto, features a dedicated day for primary-school students and two secondary-school events divided between schools from Perth’s northern and southern regions.
The Primary Schools Carnival will open the series on Tuesday 4 August, before the Secondary Schools South Carnival on Tuesday 11 August and Secondary Schools North Carnival on Thursday 13 August.
Perth Wildcats Community Development Coordinator Mackenzie Stewart said the addition of a third day reflected the continued growth of the carnival and the enthusiasm shown by participating schools.
“Each year, we see how much this event means to the students, teachers and families involved, so it is exciting to expand the carnival to three days in 2026,” Stewart said.
“Creating a dedicated day for primary schools, alongside separate events for secondary schools from the north and south, will allow even more students to get involved and enjoy everything the carnival has to offer.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Rio Tinto for continuing to support the carnival and help us provide an environment where every participant can feel included, encouraged and celebrated.”

The expansion provides more students with the opportunity to represent their schools, connect with others and enjoy basketball in an inclusive and supportive environment.
“The Perth Wildcats All Abilities Carnival creates opportunities for young people of all abilities to connect, participate and thrive,” Rio Tinto Iron Ore Vice President, People, Matt Kimball said.
"Rio Tinto is excited to once again throw our support behind this amazing event.”
The carnival will conclude with presentations at 1pm, followed by one of the highlights of the event as an All Abilities All-Star team takes the court against Perth Wildcats players.
With pride and bragging rights on the line, the Wildcats will again have their work cut out against some of the carnival’s brightest stars.
