Perth Wildcats Season Launched in Style

The Perth Wildcats Season was launched in style at the Art Gallery of WA, atop its incredibly picturesque rooftop, overlooking the City of Perth.

The entire Perth Wildcats team, coaches and front office staff were joined by club legends such as Mike Ellis, Ricky Grace and Eric Watterson, corporate sponsors and partners and an array of local media personalities.

Local Perth sneaker store 1OFF displayed an impressive collection of sneakers, including a pair of Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October, designed by Kanye West and valued at over $30,000.

The event was hosted by Tim Gossage who led a question and answer panel with Sports Entertainment Group Chief Executive Craig Hutchison, Wildcats Captain Jesse Wagstaff and Associate Head Coach Mike Kelly, local hero Luke Travers and Head Coach John Rillie, and exciting new imports TaShawn Thomas and Brady Manek.

To conclude the formalities, the team was presented their jerseys on stage by inaugural Wildcats Captain Mike Ellis and Wadjuk Noongar artist Kevin Bynder, whose artwork features proudly on this year’s uniform.

The Perth Wildcats face Brisbane Bullets on Sunday in the season-opener at RAC Arena, tip-off at 1pm WST.
