For more than 40 years, the Perth Wildcats have set the benchmark for success in the NBL, with an unmatched record of 10 championships and 35 consecutive Finals appearances. As the Wildcats prepare for the NBL26 season, the time is right to honour that legacy while positioning the club for an exciting future with a refreshed logo and brand identity.
Throughout the rebrand process, member and fan feedback was at the heart of every decision. An early fan survey garnered over 900 responses, and reinforced the importance of honouring the club’s iconic identity while modernising it for future audiences. Fans called for a logo that was new and exciting - modern and simplified - with a fiercer, more powerful Wildcat. Most importantly, they wanted it to proudly retain the club’s signature colour red - keeping the spirit of the Red Army alive and loud in The Jungle.
As the sporting world evolves with new technologies, digital experiences, and an ever-expanding scale of game-day production, it became clear the club’s visual identity needed to evolve too.

The Wildcats worked with transformation partner Hum, who set out to get to the heart of what makes the club special, and to build a bold new platform for the future.
The result is a new identity that holds a strong visual connection to the club’s rich history, while marking a significant moment in the evolution of one of Australian sport’s most iconic clubs. It’s a look designed to unite the Red Army and provide a platform for the next era of growth, innovation and connection.
Perth Wildcats Owner Mark Arena, on why now is the right time for the rebrand, said: “The Perth Wildcats are entering a bold new era. The team, the club, the culture - everything is evolving. Our identity was more than 20 years old. The technology, the way we watch and engage with the game, the expectations of the Red Army - it’s all changed. And so has the way a brand needs to show up in the world. This rebrand isn’t just a fresh look - it’s a strategic reset to fuel growth, re-energise our fanbase, and set the tone for a new era of dominance on and off the court.”
The new look is the beginning of an exciting new chapter and stays true to being uniquely Western Australian. It opens the door to new stories - and new fans - who can be proud to support the team that represents the great state of WA, and the city of Perth.
