"Stay Positive. Test Negative"

“Stay positive and test negative.”
That’s the message Perth Wildcats coach Scott Morrison is delivering to his team as they embark on an uncertain six-week road trip.
The Wildcats are headed to Adelaide for their first away game of the seasonon Tuesday, and then they’ll meet Brisbane on New Year’s Day.
From there, they’ll be based in Tasmania, only leaving for scheduled away games in other cities.
“We’re in it together. Everyone would probably prefer to handle it a different way if we had our options, but we don’t, so we’ll control what we can control,” said Morrison.
“We’ll be trying to avoid everyone basically, stay together, and focus on what we’re there to do, make the most of it and not put ourselves at any risk because ne positive test can put everyone out for a week or two.
“We’ll do our best to eat outside, do takeout, delivery, all of those things, make sure we’re getting the most out of our training sessions and then shutting it back down.”
As it currently stands, the Wildcats have six games scheduled between now and the end of January.
Morrison is hoping that if there are any forced NBL schedule changes, it leads to his team playing more while on this extended trip.
“We definitely would have liked more games, that was the common theme among our front office and team, but there were some things working against us like the Australian Open and venue availability.
“I hope they give us a chance to get a couple more games in before we come home, but sure as I’m standing here there is going to be more changes.”
