Following the fallout from the heavy defeat to Tasmania JackJumpers last Saturday, TaShawn Thomas said the team have been focusing on getting the team identity back.
“Just trying to get our identity back,” he said.
“I feel like the last two games we’ve played and lost, we were playing not like us so just trying to find ways to get us back on a good path.”
Thomas explained what the Wildcats identity means to him.
“We want to be that team that everybody is afraid of when they step on the court,” he said.
“We know in Perth that we’re going to get everyone’s best shot so we try to embrace that in our identity and bring that to the court.
“I feel like we’ve lacked on doing that in that last two games, so we’ve just been focusing on trying to get that back.”
After an unlucky run with injuries to start the season, Thomas said the team has helped him remain positive.
“Both of my injuries were just very bad timing, and bad luck with the same foot” he said.
“It was kind of tough for me more than anything to keep my head up and stay positive with things and stay apart of the team.
“The team has done a good job of helping me keep my spirits up and I’ve been doing everything I needed to do to get back out there and playing the way I know I can play.”
