The Perth Wildcats will move their partnership with Thrifty WA to near on a decade after formalising a new three-year deal to take the relationship to at least the end of the 2022/23 NBL Season.
Thrifty WA first joined the Perth Wildcats as a major partner in 2014 and in that time has become synonymous with the famous Wildcats game night entertainment experience, with the giant Thrifty Air Ship flying proudly above the fans at each home game.
The Red Army have also for many years interacted and amused themselves by partaking in the “Thrifty Air Selfie” social media competition, whilst the team have benefited greatly from a vast array of vehicle rental options, particularly whilst on the road.
Perth Wildcats CEO Troy Georgiu was highly delighted to have another longstanding partner commit their allegiance to the club long term.
“I am very humbled by the fact that a great brand and organisation like Thrifty WA has shown its commitment to us for this season and beyond. Loyalty is an increasingly rare commodity these days and so this is a wonderful endorsement of our club,” said Mr Georgiu.
“Thrifty WA has made a significant contribution to the Wildcats and helped us out in many ways and over many years. Their continued success is not surprising as they are highly reliable, led by quality people and run very professionally. They are a genuine partner and to have the reassurance of their ongoing support is invaluable and I would like to thank Keith and all of the Thrifty WA team.”
The decision to remain on board with the Wildcats was a relatively easy one, explained Owner and Managing Director of Thrifty WA, Mr Keith Bedell.
“Since we have been involved with the Perth Wildcats the team has delivered four NBL championships. Their success has been nothing short of phenomenal and they are very much a part of WA, which is why we are so proud to support them. Who doesn’t love to back a winner and they are the best in the business both on and off the court,” said Mr Bedell.
“Both organisations have taken learnings from each other and I think what has brought about success for both is always putting the customer first and continually striving to deliver service excellence. We’re really excited to be getting behind the team again for another three seasons and hopefully celebrating another championship and a special three-peat in 2021.”
Thrifty’s vision is to be the best car rental company, offering its customers the best service, best rates, and best experience.
Thrifty WA is a Western Australian owned and operated franchise and have an extensive vehicle fleet that encompasses both passenger and commercial, including economical sedans, utes, 4WD’s, buses, vans and trucks.
Perth Wildcats members can save 15% off Thrifty rentals by quoting ‘WILDCATS15’ when booking online.
