After travelling from Chicago to Brisbane and quarantining for two weeks, new Perth Wildcats import Vic Law has arrived in Perth.
The versatile wing touched down on Monday afternoon and met his teammates for the first time on Tuesday morning.
“It’s been good to actually meet the guys in person. We’ve been texting, but to finally be in the gym here has been fun,” he said.
“With the season moved back, we have time to get to know each other, create that bridge and make those connections stronger.”
Law has already identified areas where he can learn from his experienced Wildcats teammates.
“Bryce is in there making crazy shots, Kevin and Norto are incredible leaders and Jesse has a tonne of experience and winning experience behind him,” he said.
“I’ll just stick as close as I can and take on as much knowledge as possible.”
The American said he kept active while in hotel quarantine in order to hit the ground running.
“A big focus was rest, but while I was in there with all that time on my hands, I was trying to maintain a good workout regimen. They sent me weights and a bike, so just staying fit and trying to keep my rehab and prehab going.”
His goal now is to be in peak condition for the season-opener.
“Training, rehabbing, getting strong, and making sure by game one the Red Army has a 100 per cent Vic Law who is ready to go.”
The season is scheduled to commence next month.
