UPDATED WEDNESDAY 19 OCTOBER
Perth Wildcats captain Jesse Wagstaff is free to play in Saturday’s game against the Tasmania JackJumpers after his charge of unduly rough play was dismissed by the Single Member Tribunal.
The Game Review Panel (GRP) had issued Wagstaff a charge of unduly rough play and classified the incident as Careless Conduct, High Contact and High Impact for a screen set on Melbourne United's Lachlan Barker, that resulted in Barker suffering a concussion.
The Perth Wildcats challenged the charge and appeared before the tribunal on Wednesday 19 October, where the tribunal found Wagstaff not guilty and cleared him to play in Saturday's game.
The NBL supports the independence of both the Game Review Panel and Single Member Tribunal (SMT) and respects the decision of the SMT.
