Summary
The Perth Wildcats have made an absolute statement, beating ladder-leaders NZ Breakers on their home court in Auckland. It was a tight first half at Spark Arena, and then former Breaker Corey Webster found his hot hand and put on a masterclass. Brady Manek also impressed, shooting 4/7 from long range. Barry Brown Jr was the Breakers best, managing a game-high 27 points.

Coach John Rillie shared his thoughts after the game.
“It was phenomenal the way we played tonight,” he said.
“It was great to see a complete team effort, TaShawn Thomas was good, Brady Manek and obviously Corey, and no matter what Bryce Cotton does on the floor he gets the ultimate respect, so he creates a lot of opportunities for his teammates.
“Mitch Norton was phenomenal for us off the bench, everyone that played contributed in their own way, so it just goes to show, when we’re dialled in and locked in for each other like we were tonight, we’re good.”

Corey Webster was outstanding, finishing with 26 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
