Summary
Perth Wildcats went down for the first time in the NBL Blitz tournament, falling to a sharp-shooting Melbourne United in a 27-point blow-out.
Wildcats had shooting woes throughout the game, with Bryce Cotton (8 points), Todd Blanchfield (5 points) and Brady Manek (6 points) unable to find their hot hands. TaShawn Thomas was the only starter to finish in double figures, managing 10 points on his return from an ankle injury.
Melbourne’s Xavier Rathan-Myers top-scored for the game, finishing with 22 points, while Rayjon Tucker impressed with 18 points and 7 rebounds.
