The Perth Wildcats are feeling at home in Melbourne, ahead of their must-win Grand Final Game Three matchup against Melbourne United.

The Wildcats played 11 games in Melbourne throughout the 2021 season, winning nine.

That’s only three less than they played at RAC Arena during the regular season.

The reigning champions have also won 10 of their last 12 games at John Cain Arena, dating back to the 2019 Grand Final.

The team are staying at the same hotel they stayed at for a month for the NBL Cup earlier this season, and Todd Blanchfield said the familiarity is helpful.

“I don’t think it’s a bad thing, coming a day early… We had a good session today and got the legs moving. I definitely needed it, and I think everyone’s feeling good, spirits are high,” he said

“It’s familiar, we were here all through the Cup, it’s like a home away from home, some of us even have the same room. It definitely feels real comfortable.

“Everyone’s ready, and we have to make sure we’re on the front foot tomorrow.”

Game Three tips off Friday, 5.30pm WA time at John Cain Arena.

Watch live on ESPN and SBS VICELAND.
