The Perth Wildcats have departed Perth for Tasmania and the NBL Blitz pre-season tournament.

The Wildcats will play five games across 11 days as they prepare for the regular season, which begins on 3 December.

What to look forward to…

Basketball is back! And in addition to that:

  • Perth fans can get excited about the return of Majok Majok who missed the entire 2021 season through injury, as well as MVP Bryce Cotton, who missed the last quarter of last season after surgery on his upper leg
  • The Blitz will be the first opportunity to see new Wildcats Vic Law, Michael Frazier II, Matt Hodgson, Jack Purchase, Kyle Zunic and Oliver Hayes-Brown line up in Perth colours.
  • WA young gun Mitch Clarke also joins the squad for the pre-season.
  • New Perth Wildcats head coach Scott Morrison will meet his players, and then coach them in a game two days later. The Blitz is our first chance to get a glimpse of what to expect from the Wildcats new coaching department.

Unfortunately…

Mitch Norton, Todd Blanchfield and Corey Shervill will miss all five games as they recover from pre-season injuries.
