Ahead of his first season on the main roster with the Perth Wildcats, Michael Harris is putting up incredible numbers in the NBL1 West.
The forward came close to a triple-double on Saturday night, finishing with 34 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists in the Warwick Senator’s loss to the Joondalup Wolves.
Fellow NBL1 West participant David Okwera played two games over the weekend, finishing with seven points, five rebounds, and 2 assists in a win over Joondalup, and nine points, two rebounds, and three 3PM in a loss to Geraldton.
Okwera’s three point shooting is continuing to stand out, going 4/8 from downtown over the weekend to contribute to his incredible 46.9 3P% this season.
Over in New Zealand, the Otago Nuggets weren’t able to break out of their losing streak against the Southland Sharks.
The loss came despite big games from Ben Henshall who finished with 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists, and Dontae Russo-Nance who finished with 19 points, five rebounds and five assists.
It was the first start of the season for Russo-Nance who has now played four games since returning from a wrist injury.
Big man Jack Andrew finished with eight points, five rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal in the same game.
In Puerto Rico, Kristian Doolittle played three games in the week just gone.
Vaqueros De Bayamon collected two wins from the three games, and Doolittle continued his strong form with the side.
He averaged 20 points, 11.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists across the block of games including two double-doubles.
His best outing of the three came against Criollos de Caguas where he put up a season-high 25 points.
