Perth Wildcats pair David Okwera and Michael Harris will face do-or-die assignments in the NBL1 West on Saturday night.

Okwera’s East Perth host Rockingham at Morley Sport and Recreation Centre, while Harris and the Warwick Senators travel to Kalgoorlie to take on Goldfields in their elimination final.

Harris, who was named in the All-NBL1 West First Team, has missed the past two games with a minor niggle but is expected to play an important role in the Senators’ finals campaign.

Okwera finished his regular season with a strong performance in the Eagles’ 102-71 victory over Goldfields in Morley over the weekend.

The second-year Wildcats big man put up 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists to help East Perth booked their finals spot.

It capped off a huge week for Okwera, who was named in the NBL1 West All-Defensive Team in a nod for his efforts at the defensive end of the floor.

Okwera is in the competition's top-five for rebounds (9.65 per game) and blocks (1.25).

Hyrum Harris’ New Zealand Basketball League campaign is over after Wellington’s shock 104-67 play-in loss to Franklin at TSB Arena on Friday.

Harris did his bit, scoring a team-high 21 points including seven of 10 from the field, to go with six rebounds and four steals.

New signing Izan Almansa produced back-to-back games of 23 points and seven rebounds against Lithuania and hosts Poland respectively to cap off a stellar U20 Eurobasket campaign.

The 19-year-old finished as Spain’s leading points scorer and rebounder, averaging 15.7 and 6.9 across his seven appearances.
