Elijah Pepper did it again.
After scoring 50 points, seven assists and seven rebounds in his Warwick Senators debut, he went one better with 51 points, six assists and three rebounds on Adelaide 36er’s guard Isaac White and the Rockingham Flames in round two of the NBL1 West season.
The feat earned the Wildcats guard the NBL1 West Player of the Week award for the second round in a row.
He currently leads the league in scoring averaging 50.5 points, and is fourth in assists averaging 6.5 assists per game.
His Warwick and Wildcats teammate Todd Withers was able to have more of an impact this round after foul trouble held him to under 20 minutes the week before, finishing the game with 18 points, five rebounds and two blocks.
Tom Gerovich and the Willetton Tigers registered their second win of the season.
In his first start of the season, Gerovich contributed 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and a block to the side.
Across the ditch, Hyrum Harris recorded his second five steal game of the season.
His Wellington Saints got the win over the Otago Nuggets, as Harris added 24 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists to his five steals in the match.
Dontae Russo Nance continues to score for the Manawatu Jets finishing with 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists against the Canterbury Rams, joining the club of Wildcats players getting close to a triple-double.
In Puerto Rico, Kristian Doolittle and the Carolina Gigantes have found their feet with consecutive wins over the Capitanes and the Piratas moving up to second on their conference ladder.
