Wildcats Off-Season Wrap: Pepper's 50-point NBL1 West debut, Harris and Doolittle continue hot form

Elijah Pepper producing a stunning NBL1 West debut over the weekend, dropping a staggering 50 points for Warwick Senators.
The prolific guard led his new team to massive 117-79 victory over Lakeside, hitting nine triples in his 50-point haul to go with seven assists and seven rebounds in just under 34 minutes.
Todd Withers, back from a three-game stint in New Zealand, contributed 10 points and five rebounds.
Elsewhere in the NBL1 West, Wildcats Development Player Tom Gerovich impressed as Willetton got revenge on champions Mandurah Magic after last season’s heartbreaking grand final defeat.
Gerovich was one rebound shy of a double-double, finishing with 16 points, nine boards and three assists as the Tigers prevailed 95-81 on Friday night.
Hyrum Harris produced one of the best individual performances of the New Zealand Basketball League season, falling just short of a triple-double as Wellington edged past Manawatu Jets by a point.
Harris reeled in a staggering 17 rebounds to go with 17 points and nine assists to lead the Aaron Young-coached Saints to a thrilling 93-92 win.

Dontae Russo-Nance was one of the Jets’ best with 17 points, four steals and four assists.
Harris came up against another Wildcats teammate in David Okwera earlier in the round with Wellington prevailing over Franklin Bulls 78-72.
He had another decent outing with 14 points, six rebounds, five assists and a whopping five steals.
Okwera had a team-high eight rebounds for the Bulls.
In Puerto Rico, Kristian Doolittle starred in Carolina’s 76-69 win over Cangrejeros over the weekend.
Doolittle was two assists away from a triple-double, finishing with 14 rebounds, 11 points and eight assists in a dominant display.
Tai Webster had another good game in France, scoring 18 points to go with four rebounds and three assists as JL Bourg narrowly lost to Dijon.
