Wildcats Orange Sock it to FDV in Support of 16 Days in WA

The Perth Wildcats will again take the court in orange socks at RAC Arena on Friday night (21 November), reinforcing the club’s commitment to the 16 Days in WA campaign and its message to end violence against women.

It marks the second consecutive year the Wildcats have proudly supported the initiative, with the Red Army encouraged to join the cause by adding a touch of orange to their game-night colours.

The 2025 campaign officially begins on Tuesday, 25 November under the theme Stopping Family and Domestic Violence: Play your Part, calling on all Western Australians to help create communities where women are safe, valued and respected.

This year introduces a significant focus on men and boys championing respect for women and driving positive cultural change.

Perth Wildcats owner Mark Arena said:

"We are proud to continue our support for 16 Days in WA by wearing orange socks on Friday night.

As a family-first club, we want to help play our part in calling out violence against women.

We urge the Red Army to follow suit with the players and wear a touch of orange to the game against the JackJumpers on Friday, 21 November at RAC Arena."

To further highlight the importance of the campaign, the Wildcats recent release of the club’s Wildcast podcast episode features the Minister for Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence Jessica Stojkovski in conversation with hosts Sunday Dech and Daniel “Leachy” Leach, discussing the campaign’s goals and the role sport can play in promoting respect and safety.
