Bryce Cotton claimed first bragging rights over Perth Wildcats teammate Kristian Doolittle in Puerto Rico as their two off-season teams went head-to-head.

After hitting the game winner during his debut for Mets de Guaynabo earlier in the week, the five-time NBL MVP starred again with a game-high 21 points to go with 10 and five rebounds in his team’s 106-89 victory over Doolittle’s Gigantes de Carolina.

Doolittle impressed in his first game at new team Gigantes de Carolina after switching from fellow BSN outfit Vaqueros de Bayamón where he won two championships in five seasons.

The imposing forward, who recently signed a three-year contract extension at the Wildcats, came close to joining Cotton in double-double territory, finishing with 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Cotton’s Mets are sitting atop the Group B ladder with a perfect 2-0 record, while Gigantes are 0-1.
