South-East Melbourne Phoenix have picked the Wildcats as the team their biggest away tally will come against when the two teams clash at RAC Arena on Friday 31 January.
“We are so excited to see the Summer Shootout come to life in January. The concept aims to encourage higher-scoring and we hope it creates some fierce competition with an incredible prize pool of $150,000 up for grabs,” NBL Chief Fans, Club and Strategy Officer, Anthony Everard said.
“High-scoring, high-energy games are what we want to see as we head towards the Finals.
“We hope the Summer Shootout will also generate new rivalries as the home team will do everything they can to stop the challenging side running up a high score against them."
