Perth Wildcats players and coaches have been told the story behind their 2022 Indigenous Round uniform by the man who designed it.
The Wildcats will wear the uniform on Sunday in their first game at RAC Arena in over three months.
Wadjuk Noongar artist Kevin Bynder has been behind a number of Indigenous sporting uniforms, but said he's always wanted to the opportunity to design one for his beloved Wildcats.
“I’ve been an artist for round about 20 years now. I just love creating and designing, and putting my culture out there through my artwork,” he said.
“I’m a big Wildcats fan, I love all my Perth teams, but I especially love my basketball. I’ve played basketball all my life. I’ve always wanted to design for the Wildcats, so when I had the opportunity, I was pretty stoked."
