Perth Wildcats coach Trevor Gleeson said his injured players won’t be risked, as it gets closer to the must-win Game Three of the Grand Final series.
The Wildcats were without Bryce Cotton, Clint Steindl and Luke Travers in Game Two, while point guard Mitch Norton is in doubt with a hip injury.
Cotton didn’t travel to Melbourne with the team on Wednesday, but all other players did.
Gleeson provided an update on those players
“I think Clint Steindl (groin) is probably very doubtful, but we’ll give him a chance tomorrow, and we won’t know until we get Luke (Travers – calf) on the court,” he said.
“With Mitch (Norton – hip), he just has to rest. It’s been really good for him, he’ll just recharge the batteries and go from there.
“We’re hopeful, but we’ll know more when we get on the court tomorrow.”

However, Gleeson said he has his players futures to consider.
“There’s a duty of care we have to take for the players, to make sure they aren’t aggravating or making injuries worse. We won’t do that, we put the health of the player in any jeopardy.
“If they can play with discomfort and pain safely, we’ll try get them up, but we’ll make that call tomorrow.”
The Wildcats travelled to Melbourne two days early, to allow for COVID safety measures to take place in the lead-up to Game Three on Friday.
