Wildcats to Wear Multicultural Game Uniform Representing Cultural Heritage

The Perth Wildcats are proud to showcase a special Multicultural Game uniform, to be worn when the club takes the court against Melbourne United on Sunday, January 25, as part of the Wildcats’ Multicultural Game.

Designed exclusively for game night, the uniform places identity and representation at its centre, with each detail reflecting the diverse cultural backgrounds that shape the Wildcats on and off the court.

A key feature of the jersey is the word “Welcome”, displayed in multiple languages that represent the cultural heritages of Wildcats players and staff.

Cultural representation is further brought to life through the inclusion of national flags, featured on both the front and back of each player’s jersey. 

Each flag reflects the individual heritage of the player wearing it, ensuring every uniform tells a personal story while contributing to a collective celebration of multiculturalism.

Across the playing group, the uniform reflects a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Noa Kouakou-Heugue represents France and Ivory Coast, while David Duke Jr. represents the United States, Liberia and Jamaica.

Sunday Dech, Lat Mayen and Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. each represent Australia and South Sudan, as well as David Okwerra who represents Australia, South Sudan and Uganda.

Thomas Gerovich represents Australia, England and Croatia, Cameron Huefner represents Australia and Germany, and Dontae Russo-Nance represents the United States, New Zealand and Italy. Kristian Doolittle represents the United States and Native American heritage.

Australian representation is carried by Jesse Wagstaff and Ben Henshall, with additional dual-national ties reflected through Elijah Pepper and Jaron Rillie, who each represent Australia and the United States. 

Dylan Windler also represents the United States and Australia, with the Australian flag included in recognition of his daughter, who was born in Australia. 

To complement the on-court design, the Wildcats are also releasing a Multicultural Tee, giving fans an opportunity to be part of the celebration.
